Take Practice Tests

The AA New Zealand offers online tests with questions randomly generated from the Official NZ Road Code, according to their website.

  • Practice theory:

Study the practice tests to learn the format and prepare for the actual theory test, which is a 35-question computer-based multiple-choice test.

Prepare for the Practical Driving Test

  • Focus on critical errors:

Pay attention to critical errors like failing to check blind spots during lane changes, merging, and U-turns.

  • Understand the assessment:

The test assesses your ability to make decisions regarding following distance, gap selection, and speed control.

  • Other requirements:

You may also be asked to locate and demonstrate the use of the front and rear defoggers and the wipers.
